When I started my Personal Brand website, I had one big question on my mind:

What should I name my website?

I loved Blogging. As an introvert my dream was to share stories, How to build blog website and provide helps to people who haven’t started yet.

Well, I already had a name for my brand name—“ImNouman” It felt personal, and easy to access.

But when I sat down to buy a domain, I was surprised.

The name nouman.com was already taken.

I learned an important lesson that day:

A good domain name isn’t just about what you like.
It’s about what’s available, what’s easy to remember, and what people will trust.

I didn’t want to change my brand name when i checked domain isn’t available. But i research and learned that your domain doesn’t always have to match your brand name.

I tried different versions:

• noumantips.com

• numanblog.com

• Imnuman.com

Tip:

Try your brand name first, then add a word that fits your business (like shop, store, online, cookies, etc.).

Keep It Simple and Short

I almost bought:

Imnoumandigital.com

But i imagined telling a friend:

“Go to imnoumandigital.com.”

Too long. Too hard to remember.

I learned:

• Keep it under 15 characters if possible.

• Avoid hyphens or numbers.Make it easy to spell and say out loud.

I found a domain i liked: imnoman.com

But when i checked Instagram and Facebook, that name was already taken.

So I searched again—and found:
imnouman.com & Imnoumandigital.com

And guess what? It was free on all platforms.

I had to decide:
.com or .net or .pk (Local country)?

I learned that .com is the most trusted and easiest to remember. But if .com isn’t available, other options can still work, especially for Blogging.

So, I’ve finally decided to go with imnouman.com because it felt right for my personal brand and .com was available.
